The Edge, based at the University of Bath, is seeking a dynamic friendly lead invigilator and co-ordinator to oversee the visitor experience of Summer programme 'The Fantastical Multimedia Pop-up Project' (20 July – 24 August). You must have experience of interacting with families, young persons and teenagers, hosting interactive activities and one-off workshops.

You will work alongside members of The Edge team to deliver the project which will include elements of the following areas; digital technology, gaming, engineering (AI & VR) and making labs all situated at our campus arts and creativity hub. The Project will be focused on the future of learning; it will be participatory, engaging, fun and brought to life by you!  

It is essential for this role to have proven experience in event management for young people and a passion for incorporating digital technologies into art focused learning programmes. You should be highly motivated with abilities in science and arts communication and enthusiasm for bringing science and art alive for young people.

You must also have experience of supervising others as you will be required to motivate causal invigilator colleagues to deliver a quality visitor experience.

This role will be a fixed-term contract working up to 36.5 hours per week over 4-5 days to suit the requirement of the project. The contract is expected to encompass up to 40 day’s employment in total.  

In order to prepare for 'The Fantastical Multimedia Pop-Up Project' presentation, which begins Friday 20 July, we are ideally looking for someone to commence employment as soon as possible, following interview.
