An opportunity has arisen to join the research accounting team at the University of Brighton. The main responsibilities of this role are as follows; 

The management and coordination of the financial aspects of research grants and contracts The management of research project claims, including investigating and resolve queries and approve submissions to the funder The provision of specialist financial advice and support to research colleagues on the post-award financial and project management of all research activityThe provision of advice and support to academics and administrative staff in the costing of grant applications and other externally funded projects

You will be a part qualified accountant, or have a demonstrable level of commensurate practical experience equivalent to that of a part qualified accountant. Experience in grant or project administration management would be an essential requirement of this role, while an understanding of EU and Research Council funder requirements, and knowledge of Full Economic Costing (fEC) would be desirable.
