The College of Nursing Midwifery and Healthcare is a major provider of nursing and midwifery courses in the West London and Berkshire area and we offer excellent placement opportunities.

The Dementia Care Centre (DCC) is led by Professor Victoria Tischler and focuses upon innovative and creative approaches to dementia care, with ambitious plans to become a world leader in this area of study.

This position will undertake an extensive scoping review to underpin planned teaching activity in the Centre.

Dementia Care teaching focuses on a portfolio of accredited training that offers bespoke courses to meet the needs of a diverse workforce.

This includes a new, externally validated Masters in Dementia Care, Higher Apprenticeship, Tier 3 training, and planned specialist courses across the dementia care field.

The post holder will carry out the following research activities: developing study publicity and building links with relevant services, data collection, setting up databases (if appropriate), data analysis and disseminating results and conclusions by the preparation of presentations and papers.  

The post holder will be required to co-ordinate the different stages of the research.

The post holder should have a higher degree, preferably a PhD, knowledge of dementia care, and experience of research. They will also need experience of quantitative and qualitative analysis and project management.
