With an estimated £200m investment programme in the estate and facilities currently taking place, the University is now offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Conference and Sales Manager to join our Commercial Services team.

Commercial Services is responsible for the provision of conference and function facilities, management of the student halls of residence and campus catering services. The service provides a varied range of facilities for both internal and external customers ranging from small corporate meetings to large outdoor exhibitions.

The Conference and Sales Manager role will lead and develop the University’s conference and event activities including responsibility for initiating and developing new conference and event business to maximise revenue opportunities from University facilities and services outside of core academic use.

As Conference and Sales Manager your duties will include:

Lead and develop the University’s conference strategy, along with the necessary action plans to achieve the strategic objectives.Initiating, developing and promoting new conference and event business, identifying opportunities for maximising revenue from facilities and services consistent with The University of Hull’s prime function as a place of education, learning, research and a place of residence for studentsTo lead, develop and co-ordinate the effective management and service delivery of the Conference Unit across the university’s multi site operationsTo deliver an exceptional and responsive customer service, maintaining consistent standardsTo promote a positive image of The University of Hull and develop effective working relationships with all users of the university including internal clients

The post is full time, 36.5 hours per week, and due to the nature of the post will include evenings and weekends.
