Senior Chef (Retail) (CA0183)

Following a 10 month, £7 million refurbishment of Canham Turner which includes; state of the art production kitchen; modern spacious dining facilities and dedicated conference facilities; we are looking for an enthusiastic, creative chef to support our busy campus catering team. We provide food and drink to more than 18,500 students and staff members, as well as visitors, through our eight cafes and restaurants. Our focus is on providing fresh, delicious and affordable food choices.

You will be based within Commercial Services, which forms part of Campus and Accommodation Services, and will work primarily at our stunning Cottingham Road campus. 

As well as providing catering to staff and students, Commercial Services manages our student halls of residence in Cottingham and provides conference and event services. This includes the provision of catering for functions ranging from small meetings to large outdoor exhibitions.

As Senior Chef (Retail) your duties will include but are not limited to 

The successful applicant will ideally have:

·Hotel or restaurant experience

·Experience of supporting events

·A food hygiene certificate

Attention to detail is a must and the successful applicant will have a genuine interest in this work and be a team player who is capable of assuming responsibility. 

We want someone with creativity and passion to help us produce innovative dishes and enhance the overall dining experience for our customers.

The post is full time, 36.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year and it is expected that the role holder will work five days out of seven on a rota basis
