The University of Lincoln is an ambitious and fast-growing academic community.  Although established within the last twenty years, it already ranks among the Top 50 Universities in the UK (43rd in Complete University Guide 2019) and has set itself the goal of a position in the Top 40 by the end of the decade. The University launched a new BA degree in Philosophy in 2017 within the School of History and Heritage and we are now seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Philosophy with teaching competencies in Epistemology, Metaphysics and Philosophy of Mind for a fixed term until July 2019.

The successful candidate will show outstanding potential as a philosopher, will be enthusiastic and flexible in contributing to undergraduate teaching, and will be keen to participate fully in the intellectual and academic activities of a lively and committed school which prizes collegiality very highly. 

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in a relevant subject area by the date of appointment as well as proven teaching skills and the enthusiasm and ability to engage effectively in substantive teaching and must be able to take up the post by September 10th, 2018
