You will be responsible for providing secretarial and administrative support to the Departments of Higher Education and Technology Enhanced Learning. The Departments of Technology Enhanced Learning and Higher Education provide professional advice, staff development programmes and support for academic staff and participate in Faculty-based and University-wide projects to improve the student experience.

You will support the administration of the full range of activities undertaken within the Departments and to ensure all aspects of the business are dealt with appropriately. You will support the administration of the Departments’ academic programmes, events and programmes and updating of departmental webpages.  Youwill also provide general clerical duties for the office such as managing orders, receiving and screeningincoming phone calls, photocopying, preparation for reports and transcripts, and diary management.

You should have GCSE qualifications or equivalent vocational qualifications, some relevant work experience and strong computer skills.

This Administrator role helps the departments to develop excellent working relationships with relevant members of the University community, visitors and external bodies that have an interest in the departments’ work. You will need to demonstrate a courteous and professional approach, in order to promote a positive image within and outside the departments.
