We are currently seeking a Social Media Manager to join our vibrant Marketing team on a full time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to work in the Higher Education sector alongside other talented professionals.

Reporting into the Head of Creative and Digital Services, you will lead the University’s overarching social media strategy, policies and operations.  Line managing two personnel, a Social Media Coordinator and a Social Media Assistant, this position will coordinate the content on our core brand channels, monitor and measure performance and handle community management, as well as empower colleagues across the University to increase engagement with their key audiences via their own channels.

You will be confident working alongside other marketing and communications colleagues with creative ideas on how we can use social media channels to appeal to prospective students and showcase the University’s reputation.

The successful candidate will have:

Experience of managing a corporation’s social media strategy, operation and personnel.  This includes content planning and scheduling, and listening and monitoring using tools such as Hootsuite and Pulsar. Knowledge of planning social media activities with stakeholders and applying these effectively in the channels to achieve specific business goals. A confidence presenting and training on social media to support wider use of channels by colleagues across the University and to continue senior level understanding of our activities. An understanding of brand management and crisis management on social media channels.
