Guildford School of Acting (GSA) is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual who can lead, manage and drive forward the School’s thriving third stream programme, relaunched in 2018 as GSA Enterprises.

This is a hands on role which will require you to manage and implement a wide programme of Enterprise activity which broadly fall under three areas: a) Individual Training Programmes: a vibrant Saturday School which trains up to 500 young people from the age of 5 to 18 weekly in term time, a three week Summer School for young people from the age of 8 to 25, weekend pre-audition courses, stage combat courses and evening dance classes; b) CPD Training Programmes: including a bespoke presentation skills training for corporate organisations, and c) other third stream activity including management of the GSA Singers and Dancers. There is scope to develop projects in further areas.

You will have suitable qualifications and a high level of expertise in a relevant field, experience of managing similar projects and must be focussed on delivering results against financial target. You will be people-centred and passionate about the arts and education and will strive to deliver excellent opportunities at all levels of the business.  You will have exceptional communication and relationship-building skills and be able to engage effectively with a wide variety of individuals of all ages and at all levels from children attending Saturday School to CEOs of major organisations. You will be required to develop a business plan, evaluate existing programmes and identify opportunities for further development particularly in the area of CPD for corporate organisations.

You will work closely with the Head of School and the GSA Manager, will be a member of the School’s Leadership Team, will be responsible for the annual budget across all areas of GSA Enterprises, and will liaise with colleagues across the School as required as well as key colleagues across the University in the Short Courses Team and Finance Department and you will be expected to liaise closely with Marketing colleagues in GSA in promoting Enterprise opportunities to maximise results. This post has a direct impact on the School finances and reputation.

Normal working hours are 36 hours per week - usually Monday-Friday although attendance on Saturdays whilst Saturday School is running is mandatory. TOIL will be agreed as appropriate.
