This fixed-term post offers an opportunity to join our politics team in an exciting undergraduate programme within the Division of Sociology and Politics in the University of Brighton’s School of Applied Social Science. 

We are looking for a dynamic political scientist to complement our existing staff interests. We have teaching needs in comparative and international politics; we would also welcome applications from candidates with expertise in an additional geographic area. 

You will contribute to core politics curriculum areas including introduction to political theory, as well as teaching research methods, and undergraduate dissertation supervision.

You will have a good (1 or 2:1) first degree in Politics or International Relations, a PhD in Politics/International Relations (or nearly completed), and be research active. Up-to-date, sound knowledge of politics, including current developments along with experience in teaching and a higher education teaching qualification (or committed to obtaining one) are also essential.
