Bring your dynamic and vibrant academic attributes to work within the School of Media located in the heart of Brighton. Apply your professional approach in teaching to deliver aspects of the BA (Hons) Moving Image course programme.

The BA course is a practice-based degree focused on film and the area of Artists’ Moving Image. Students on the course engage in a variety of experimental practices that explore the potential of the medium on the screen, within the gallery space, in site-specific installations and across a range of media. Interdisciplinary approaches to the medium are encouraged. The focus of the course is oriented around a fine art ethos although graduates’ destinations are equally in the commercial world of the moving image as well as in the gallery space. The course comprises both practice-based and historical and critical studies modules and we are interested in applications from candidates with strengths in either or both areas of teaching. Particularly, but not limited to, new media technologies or contemporary theory in artists’ moving image.

You will have a strong research record in either practice or theory and experience of module management and delivery. We are looking for a member of staff with strong communication and organisational skills who can inspire and support students, work in a course team, has an ability to think creatively in response to a rapidly changing undergraduate sector, and can contribute to the research culture of the University at the highest level.
