Description :

The University of Hull is driven by a commitment to delivering excellent research and a fantastic student experience. The University has an international outlook and global reach, as well as playing a key place-based regional role. There continues to be significant investment in the single-site campus, which enjoys a rich cultural offer. The University is committed to adapting its approach to meet the evolving needs of its students, regional, national and global collaborators, and external partners. Under the leadership of the new Vice-Chancellor, Professor Susan Lea, the University is entering a period of strategic change. To strengthen its leadership, and to lead new initiatives in line with this exciting strategy, the University now wishes to appoint a Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International), who will be a full member of the University Leadership Team.

The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International) will be expected to raise the presence and profile of the University internationally. Priorities will include reviewing and renewing international partnerships, and generating opportunities for research and educational collaboration with overseas partners. A key aim will be to grow international student numbers. The post-holder will lead the development and management of key strategic partnerships, and initiatives to strengthen the mobility of staff and students. An early priority will be the development of a new International strategy for the University.

The role reports directly to the Vice-Chancellor. The successful candidate must bring a collegiate and enthusiastic approach to the role, and will make a significant and collaborative contribution to the University Leadership Team.
