The Imaging in Precision Medicine Information Specialist will be a key part of the Beacon team, focussing on increasing the research portfolio in line with the University’s Research Strategy.

This post is to support the effective clinical translation of diagnostic imaging biomarkers, imaging-based predictive outcome models and stratified treatment protocols. This is a core post based within the Precision Imaging Beacon of Excellence expected to develop strategic collaborations with the NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre, especially its cross-cutting MRI theme in order to create a step-change in clinical translation of innovative medical imaging, in diagnostic efficacy and imaging-based clinical trials, and in visibility and international impact of medical imaging research.

This newly created role will assist with delivery of a number of the strategic aims of the Beacon including;

•To increase high impact research of importance to patients and the NHS 

•To develop evidence-based radiology 

•To develop expertise and reputation in “medical imaging knowledge mobilisation” by bringing in relevant Information Specialist expertise. 

The post holder will be expected to use their skills to develop information resources and support on-going research and research in development. The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field.

This is a part time, 18.12 hours per week, fixed term post until 30 March 2022. Job share arrangements may be considered.
