There are vacancies for Resident Tutors at St Peter’s Court commencing in September 2018. Registered postgraduate students, undergraduate students completing their 4th or 5th year of study and staff members of the University are eligible to apply. 

St Peter’s Court is self-catered accommodation with over 800 students. The Resident Tutors work closely with the Warden to assist in the welfare and care of the students. This involves being available to undertake evening and night-time duties on a regular basis.

Resident Tutors are volunteers and receive no pay for carrying out the role. Subsidised accommodation will be available.

Please be aware, if you are a student who holds a Tier 4 visa, the volunteering undertaken as a Resident Tutor contributes to the 20 hours a week maximum for employment and/or volunteering allowable under the regulations of that visa. Whilst there is flexibility with volunteering hours, Resident Tutors will be expected to be able to contribute a minimum of 15 hours per week to delivery of their role.

All Resident Tutors will be required to complete a declaration of criminal convictions questionnaire and may be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
