Applications are invited for the post of Teaching Associate in Film and Television Studies within the School of Cultures, Languages and Area Studies. From 1st August, this role will be based in the newly formed department of Cultural, Media and Visual Studies, one of the largest departments of its kind in the UK. The successful candidate will provide teaching cover between 1 September 2018  to 30 June 2019, for a member of staff on leave.The role-holder will have responsibility for convening, teaching and assessing on both BA and MA modules. In addition they will take a role in supervising final year dissertations, provide personal tutor support and make an appropriate contribution to teaching administration.

Candidates should have a PhD in film and television studies or a related field or the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience and previous experience of teaching at higher education level. The ability to teach a second year module on Transnational Media may be an advantage. 

This position is full time, fixed term, available from 1 September 2018 to 30 June 2019. Applications for job share will be accepted.
