The payroll services team are recruiting for someone to be part of our small dedicated section responsible for delivering a payroll each month to University employees. The University annual staff costs are in excess of £250m.
The role of Payroll Administrator involves the verification and input of data to the HR/Payroll system in order that employees are paid accurately and on time. This includes timesheets, starters and leavers, Sickness and Parental Pay ensuring that payments are made as per the Statutory regulations and University Terms and Conditions of employment.
Applicants should have experience of Payroll preferably in a large organisation with knowledge of related statutory payments and deductions along with a drive to deliver excellent Customer Service . Ability to work both in a small team and on own initiative while meeting tight deadlines is essential along with excellent Microsoft Office and data input skills.
This is a full time, 36.25 hours per week, fixed term position for 1 year. Job share arrangements may be considered.
