We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Client Services Supervisor to join our Enabling Services team.

This is a fast-paced and varied role that will combine project work with day to day operational work, alongside other Client Services Supervisors. Our aim is to provide first class customer service to support students, practitioners and other colleagues throughout the University; so a flexible approach to work is essential. This role also has an element of face to face work with students providing wellbeing advice and signposting as part of the drop in team. 

You will work closely with the Deputy Service Delivery Manager on a variety of projects, as service needs demand. You will also be expected to work closely with the other Client Services Supervisors to provide a seamless customer service provision in a high volume service, and be able to adapt to the demands of the service. 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Flexibility to switch between project based work and day to day operational workStrong analytical and problem solving skills, excellent attention to detail and ability to use their own initiativeExcellent administrative and IT skillsLine management experienceAbility to work as part of a teamAbility to analyse and interpret dataProvide support to a team of specialist practitionersManage a large volume of emails on a day to day basis, prioritising according to riskA desire to support vulnerable students

You will be qualified to at least A Level/HNC/NVQ3 or equivalent with proven work experience.

Please note, being able to work flexibly is a requirement as you will be part of a rota that operates from 8am –6pm across weekdays and occasional weekend/evening working is required. Our day to day work is based in a multi-disciplinary open plan office.


The salary for this post starts at £24,285 through to £28,936, with annual increments; please note that we recruit at the bottom of the scale.  Further benefits include the opportunity to join the University’s pension scheme, 20 days annual leave and access to a number of University employer discount schemes. 

Enabling Services is one of the services within Student Services at the University. We provide a wide variety of support for students who have long-term health conditions, mental health problems or specific learning difficulties (e.g. dyslexia), as well as running the Wessex Needs Assessment Centre.
