Residential Services at the University of Southampton offer accommodation to over 6600 students every year. In order to enhance the service offered to our diverse customers we are seeking a Customer Services Assistant to work within our Halls site teams, primarily based in our Erasmus Park Halls in Winchester.  

You will play a significant part in enhancing the experience of students, residents and other customers who interact with our services. You will be calm under pressure and have a commitment to providing excellent customer service at every touchpoint. As an excellent communicator and multi-tasker you will also play a part in providing valuable support to the supervisory teams in halls. 

The successful candidate will be able to evidence experience of working within a busy and diverse customer service environment. We are looking for an approachable and organised character with excellent communication skills. Candidates will need to be confident working within a team and very well presented. Customer service skills across any industry could well be an advantage to the successful candidate. 

Basic IT skills will be required for the role with a knowledge of basic Microsoft Office packages. We will provide further training for other IT systems.

The working pattern will usually fall within 12.00 noon to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday, based in our Winchester reception. The successful candidate will also be expected to be available for occasional weekend and evening working.
