The Department of Social and Policy Sciences invites applications for a post at the level of Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) or Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in international development at the University of Bath. The department is a world class centre for international development research and teaching excellence, committed to interdisciplinary, impactful and progressive research. 

We are looking to recruit an academic who will make a significant contribution to research and teaching capacity in international development at Bath. The successful candidate will have a track record, commensurate with career stage, of independent and impactful research of international standing; and be expected to publish in top rated journals, sustain a leading research programme, and be active in submitting applications for external funding. The candidate must also have a strong interest in pursuing excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and in supervising graduate students. 

With this post, we are looking to recruit an academic who will strengthen our expertise in the more sociological and/or anthropological aspects of development. We welcome applications from scholars with research interests in any relevant subfield field of international development that enhances our current portfolio.
