Staffordshire University is currently recruiting for a dynamic, strategic and motivated academic to lead and develop the Film, Media and Journalism department. The Head of Department will be responsible for the effective co-ordination, leadership, management and development of subject based staff, ensuring their contribution to the full range of academic activity including learning and teaching, research, enterprise and employability.

Educated to post-graduate level, the successful candidate will have a strong background of managing and leading people through change and of positively influencing key performance metrics in student experience and satisfaction. With high-level communication skills, the post-holder will be able to build and maintain relationships at all levels, both internally and externally, and confidently represent the University on an international level.
