As an integral member of CSCHaRR you will work across the centre’s broad portfolio of health and social care projects providing expertise in quantitative research methods under the guidance of the principal investigators and Centre Director. You will also develop your own portfolio of research and contribute to grant applications, production of research papers and be ready to represent the work of CSCHaRR to national and international audiences.   You will have a good first degree, a PhD or equivalent and experience of working as a specialist researcher in a busy health and social care related research environment. You will be an active researcher and able to develop and lead new research initiatives with an emerging track record of publication and grant capture. You will be active within your specialist networks both nationally and internationally and enjoy the challenge of working in multi-disciplinary teams .   This role would be an excellent opportunity for an individual with a background in the analytical sciences such as maths, statistics, physics or computer sciences to apply their skills to the discipline of health and social care research. Designing studies that work on large healthcare datasets and applying cutting edge techniques including machine learning, this role will support the development of AI capabilities in the healthcare setting.
