Description :

Are you a cardiology trainee interested in cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (CMR)? Are you interested in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy? Would you like to undertake a period of study towards an MD/PhD involving novel CMR imaging in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy?

Our department is an internationally recognised CMR centre leading in the research field of novel quantitative imaging techniques. Your research funded by the Heart Research UK Novel and Emerging Technologies scheme, will focus on Novel Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI) techniques to risk stratify patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. As one of the centres with internationally recognised expertise in DTI techniques, we will have an excellent opportunity to establish for the first time innovative DTI techniques and new imaging biomarkers to risk stratify patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and capable clinical fellow who would like to undertake a period of research involving this patient group.

During your employment you will also work towards an MD/PhD at the University of Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity if you are a clinical fellow, especially if you are aiming to sub specialise in cardiac MRI imaging or pursue an academic career.
