As part of our new External Relations team you will work to promote the exciting work of our academic staff and our students across a range of channels to continue to build the profile of the University in the city, the region and beyond. Your work will also support our campaigns to recruit ambitious students keen to transform their lives through studying with us.  You will have a track record of success in one or more of media relations, public affairs, alumni relations and event management, and a willingness to build your experience in the areas you don’t. You won’t need to have worked in higher education before but you will be able to draw on experience of promoting and protecting the reputation of a company, organisation, institution or brand at a local, national or international level.        You will be joining an ambitious Marketing and Communications team, responsible for attracting students to study with us at a hugely exciting period in the Birmingham City University story. We are a major part of the transformation of Birmingham, with a £260 million investment in two superb campuses right at the heart of this great city.
