Description :

Are you passionate about delivering world leading clinical research and an exceptional student experience? Are you an experienced and influential academic with the proven ability to carry out teaching and research in neurosurgery and related topics? Do you have an excellent research track record, proven success obtaining funding and the vision and drive to tackle new challenges? 


You will join an established clinical academic research team to support and develop on-going programmes of clinical and translational research linked to existing programmes in neurosurgery. You will be encouraged to engage in established interdisciplinary working and to develop new strategies for surgical innovation with the aim of securing translation into clinical practice. 


You will also join an established surgical multidisciplinary team, delivering care to surgical patients and contributing to the provision of emergency and elective services.


You will be a member of one of the Royal College of Surgeons and hold Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS - SN) or equivalent and be included on the GMC's Specialist Register for Surgery (or be within six months of being admitted to the Register for trainees if currently in a training programme within the UK).


This is a permanent post, subject to successful completion of a five-year probation period.
