Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Physical Geography (SV3029-18-223-R)

We are seeking to appoint a lecturer or senior lecturer in Physical Geography to join our team of geography and environmental sciences staff in our welcoming, supportive and positive working environment. You should have, or be near completing, a PhD, and specialise in hydrology, fluvial geomorphology or river science. Skills in spatial data analysis and/or numerical modelling would be an advantage. 

You will have a high-quality research profile (consistent with career stage) and evidence of the potential to develop an externally funded research programme. You will also demonstrate a commitment to high quality learning and teaching across all levels of Higher Education, including on fieldwork within the UK and internationally. A significant proportion of our Geography and related degree programmes is team-taught, making an ability to work flexibly as an individual and team member essential. 

You will become a member of the Centre for Aquatic Environments, and will have access to world class laboratories and field equipment within the School. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to other research areas, including our Applied Geosciences and Past Human and Environment Dynamics research groups. If appropriate, the new appointee will be supported to gain an accredited UK teaching qualification.
