The College of Social Science consists of six Schools (Psychology, Health and Social Care, Law, Social and Political Sciences, Sport and Exercise Science and Education). The College Professional Service team provides wide ranging support within the College of Social Science including supporting and contributing to the effective delivery of Student Administration procedures and processes.

The Academic Officer operates across the College to ensure the effective and efficient operation of key administrative processes. In addition, the role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with all relevant University policies and procedures and this involves acting as a conduit between a variety of stakeholders to ensure effective communication with all parties.
