As Quality Assurance and Enhancement Manager for the Faculties of Science and Technology and Health and Medicine, you will work with Associate Deans, Heads of Departments, academic and professional services staff to lead on managing academic quality assurance and enhancement within the Faculties, ensure compliance with relevant guidance and procedures, including all operational aspects of quality assurance and enhancement (QA&E) and review and improve areas of strategic priority relating to teaching and the student experience.

You will be an excellent negotiator with the ability to interpret, communicate and analyse complex data sets to identify issues and opportunities. You will be confident in constructively challenging existing practice and identifying and successfully implementing continuous improvement protocols in line with institutional strategy, and ensuring that these are met in the time agreed. You will need to demonstrate innovation and creativity to meet increasing demand for support from departments to enhance and improve the student experience.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the role and requirements of quality assurance and enhancement in UK HE and experience of the development and successful implementation of relevant policies and procedures. You will be experienced in records management and high level committee servicing. 

You will possess excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to prioritise a demanding and varied workload. Interpersonal skills and an ability to work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders are essential. You will embrace a team culture and be demonstrably willing to volunteer across teams and services to support colleagues and enhance your own professional development.

This role is intended to support both the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) and the Faculty of Health and Medicine (FHM). The role is available as either a full time 1.0 FTE role to support both Faculties, or as a job share between two role holders, with individual FTE to be negotiated up to a maximum total of 1.3 FTE.
