About You 

You will have a good relevant honours degree and QTS preferably with a PhD or PhD close to completion in a relevant subject. It is important that you have effective communication skills, both verbal and written and are able to work successfully as part of a team. Flexibility and a willingness to teach and engage with curriculum wider than primary education is also essential.

About the Role 

You will be involved in designing, delivering and assessing the university-based academic and professional development (APD) elements of our Primary ITE programmes. We are focused on ensuring that these elements of our programmes support trainee teachers in attaining the highest quality outcomes in terms of their teaching in schools and their impact on children’s learning. You will be expected to participate fully in regular module team development meetings; work with module teams to develop session materials; teach groups of students on Primary ITE modules; mark the assessed work of your own groups and work with school-based colleagues to maintain and further develop the currency of the APD modules’ content and focus.
