The Faculty of Engineering & Design are increasing their postgraduate portfolio of courses that offer a period of industry engagement and are highly focussed on ensuring our students have a broad range of exceptional employability skills on graduation. This new post has been created to work primarily with the Postgraduate Partnerships Manager and in conjunction withour Placements Team to support the Faculty’s student employability initatives.  

The post holder will  be responsible for all administrative functions related to partnership and employablity activity across relevant existing and new postgraduate disciplines and undergraduate programmes within the Faculty.  This will be a busy and varied role which requires the post holder to communicate professionally with academic staff,industrial partners and students. It is essential that the post holder has theinterpersonal skills to provide support to the student community and all stakeholders associated within the remit of employer partnerships. 

Applicants will need to demonstrate a good use of initiative, excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi task in order to prioritise a high workload where attention to detail is essential. Applicants should have previous experience of working in a busy office environment in an administrative role. 

In addition, experience of working on specific University software (Moodle; SAMIS and Business Objects) would be an advantage.

This post is full time (36.5 hours per week) and is being offered on a fixed term contract basis, with an anticipated expiry date of 30 August 2019
