You will be expected to play a key role in the teaching and assessment of our pre-registration programme delivery, as well as supporting post-registration programmes and contributing to inter-professional learning opportunities. The successful candidate will be able to share their knowledge and experience effectively with students, both through their passion and commitment for paramedic education and the links they make between practice, research and high quality service delivery for the benefits of patients.    You must be a UK registered Paramedic or Nurse and be able to demonstrate evidence of your professional development and experience in pre-hospital care practice. You must hold a first degree in a relevant area, and ideally hold or currently be completing a higher degree. In addition to substantial clinical experience, experience of supporting pre-registration students, curriculum development and experience of teaching and assessing within Higher Education is essential.   Support will be given to the successful candidate to develop their personal and professional academic portfolio; including the opportunity to undertake our highly regarded Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in HE if not held already. You will be enabled to develop your skills and abilities to deliver innovation and excellence in academic practice. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the departmental research and scholarly activities and therefore previous experience of participating in research and/or writing for publication is desirable.   The Faculty of Health at Birmingham City University is one of the largest centers for health and social care education in the country.
