It’s why we’ve recently restructured to create a brand new 200-strong Academic Services Department, the first stage in an ambitious plan to transform our admin systems, processes and working culture. If you’re customer-focused, quality-driven and keen to follow a professional career within administration – with clearly defined career paths and opportunities – there’s never been a better time to join us. The role is based mainly at the City Centre Campus with some travel required to the City South and City North Campuses as business needs dictate.  You will be joining a high performing team within Assessment & Awards.  As one of the team you will deliver a responsive, proactive, customer-focused academic administration service in quality assurance, with responsibility for a wide range of quality assurance duties particularly those linked to assessments and awards including contributing to the organisation of our award ceremonies.  We are looking for someone who will provide an excellent level of service to students, colleagues and external examiners in the delivery of the assessment and awards cycle ensuring compliance with University regulations, policy and procedures.  The candidate should be (or become) confident to give detailed expert advice on the application of University regulations and policy to examination boards and the wider University community.  The position requires a degree level education (or equivalent experience) alongside proven administrative, IT and customer service experience within a complex environment.   Experience of working within a pressurised environment and successfully meeting tight deadlines would be desirable.  Higher Education experience is preferable but not essential. Please upload a CV and covering letter/expression of interest as part of your application for this role. You are advised, where possible, to remove personal details from your CV and covering letter including your name and address as to ensure a fair and transparent recruitment process.
