Description :

The Lincoln School of Engineering was founded in 2009 with HEFCE Development Funding in collaboration with Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery and other employers in the engineering sector.  It is the first new engineering school to be established in the UK for decades and has been extraordinarily successful: it was highlighted as a best practice case study in the Government-commissioned Wilson Review (exploring Business-University Collaboration) and awarded a Lord Stafford Award for ground-breaking collaboration between industry and academia in 2011. It was awarded the Times Higher award for Outstanding Employer Engagement in 2012, and the University has been named as one of Siemens’ Global Principal Partner Universities for research.

We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Resource Manager to lead our technical team into the next phase of our development. The successful candidate will be a strong leader, with experience of working in a dynamic and challenging environment, and will have overall responsibility for providing effective technical support for all teaching and research activity within the school. Experience of working in an educational environment in a technical support role will be advantageous.

The post is being made available to internal candidates only in support of our commitment to developing staff by providing opportunities for internal movement and promotion. Therefore we actively encourage applications from all staff across the University with the relevant skills and experience.
