The School of Chemistry at the University of Nottingham is seeking an experienced Project Manager to provide administrative leadership, management and specialist technical input for the delivery, development and optimisation for a diverse portfolio of complex multi-partner projects that fall within the remit of the School of Chemistry’s Business Partnership Unit (BPU). The projects span Research, Teaching and Knowledge Exchange and involve working with international partners.Reporting to the Business Development Manager for the School of Chemistry and working with the Project Steering Committees, the role holder will make a leading contribution to strategic budgetary planning, policy development, policy implementation, monitoring of data and quality assurance management to support all activities. They will also provide specialist technical input to these Chemistry and Pharmacy focused projects, as necessary, and identify, develop and deliver additional external funding and collaborations. 

Candidates must have an Honours Degree in Chemistry or Pharmacy or equivalent and significant relevant experience in a similar/related role.They must possess financial acumen, exceptional interpersonal skills and detailed knowledge of projects, funding mechanisms and opportunities within the Higher Education sector (including EU/government funded and multi partner/international projects). Experience of Knowledge Exchange and Impact related activities within academia will be an advantage.
