We require a part-time, postgraduate-student research assistant (RA) at two days per week (0.4 FTE at Grade 4/Spine Point 27) for approximately seven months (mid-August, 2018 – mid-March, 2019) to work on a project funded by the Association for Psychological Science.   

Duties include (but are not necessarily limited to):

Working alongside the technical team to provide assistance in setting up a website that will implement a practice learning schedule and collect questionnaire measures. Assistance preparing two experimental tests on the learned material. Assistance generating questions and statements on module content that will be used for the practice sessions. Analysis of the practice-session data, the experimental-test data, the individual difference measures.Associating the experimental scores and measures to scores on the module final exam and Blackboard behaviour (e.g., viewings of lecture material). Managing and responding to issues raised by students who are engaging in learning practice.Assistance preparing a final version of the website for widespread use upon project completion.

Applications for Research Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification.  The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon successful completion of the PhD. Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.
