As part of the University of Surrey’s ambitious research targets, and following a reorganisation of the Vice-Provost, Research & Innovation portfolio, Research & Innovation Services (RIS) is looking to appoint a key leadership role within the Directorate.  Do you have the ambition, drive and vision to help us achieve great things at the University? 

Head of Research Integrity & Governance - £49,149 to £58,655

The Research Integrity & Governance Office (RIGO) provides ethics, sponsorship for clinical trials and research governance support for all University research activities.  This new leadership role in RIGO will provide strategic oversight of the University’s research and clinical governance framework, providing assurance to the University that all reasonable measures have been taken to ensure compliance with internal and external policies and regulations, and the highest standards of governance are achieved in all areas of research.  Working as part of the RIS leadership team, you will help us to develop our suite of ‘one-stop-shop’ services, providing excellent seamless support to academic colleagues.

As Head of Research Integrity & Governance you will have significant relevant experience either within higher education or in a similar capacity in the pharmaceutical or health sector.  Along with the relevant experience you will have strong leadership skills, experience of developing key stakeholder relationships both within and outside the organisation, and have experience of developing and leading on strategic change projects.The University of Surrey is amongst the highest achieving universities in the UK, having been awarded the Times/ Sunday Times University of the Year Award for 2016.
