As part of the University of Surrey’s ambitious research targets, and following a reorganisation of the Vice-Provost, Research & Innovation portfolio, Research & Innovation Services (RIS) is looking to appoint a key leadership role within the Directorate.  Do you have the ambition, drive and vision to help us achieve great things at the University? 

Head of Research Pre-Award - £49,149 to £58,655

Research Pre-Award provides research bid support to academic colleagues, often alongside the bid writing team and other professional support services as required.  The ambition for the Research & Innovation Services Directorate is that we will develop a ‘one-stop-shop’ service to our academic colleagues, providing a seamless handover between teams. This change in delivery of service will require vision, strong leadership, change management experience and excellent communication skills.

The Head of Research Pre-Award is a new post and we seek a leader who has significant previous experience of research support services in a senior role and has developed and led on key organisational change. Ideally you will have a degree and post graduate qualification in a relevant subject, demonstrating continuous professional development.
