We are seeking an enthusiastic proactive team-worker to join the School Operations Team, which is responsible for providing administrative management and support across a broad range of areas within the School of Mathematical Sciences.

As a School Operations Administrator, you will:

Provide a friendly, respectful and inclusive reception service in the Mathematical Sciences Building helping staff, visitors, and couriers as required and responding to both routine and more complex enquiries Act as the main point of contact for postgraduate research students, checking and processing their travel bookings and expense claimsProvide general office administrative support, including supporting events and academic staff members, taking responsibility for your own actions whilst remaining calm under pressure

We are looking for a professional, approachable, customer-focused individual who can evidence:

A positive attitude to building and maintaining professional relationships with team members and customersExcellent written and verbal communication skills High level organisational skills with a commitment to sharing and implementing new ideas and ways of workingFlexibility with the ability to meet deadlines and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities, working effectively as a member of a small team

Candidates must have a good standard of education evidenced by GCSE level study (or equivalent, and/or experience in a relevant role), significant recent experience of working in an office/administrative environment and experience of planning their own work activities in response to differing priorities.

This is a permanent full-time post for 36.25 hours per week, working Monday to Friday.
