Please see below details of a new * casual * assignment.

We are looking for an individual to fulfil a casual role at the University of Southampton within the Programme Management Unit (PMU).  The successful candidate will provide reception and administrative support alongside financial administration support in an effective and efficient manner to the PMU.  The role is based near Highfield campus in Bassett House, Glen Eyre Road (SO16 3TU).

The successful candidate will have previous administration and reception experience and be adaptable to cope with the peaks and troughs of the different aspects of the role. It is an interesting and diverse role, a large element will be reception duties, answering queries and resolving problems from colleagues and external consultants.  The role will also involve administrative duties to support the project teams, assisting in the organisation and facilitation of meetings and events, stationery control and undertaking ad hoc administrative duties as required.  Additionally, the post holder will support the financial administration, liaising with the Project Managers to obtain authorisation to pay invoices, assisting with queries from suppliers, purchase order housekeeping.  Training will be given on the relevant packages where required.
