The Payroll team sits within the University’s Finance Department.  The team is responsible for over 1200 salary payments on a monthly basis for permanent and temporary staff.

The successful candidate will provide a high quality, comprehensive payroll and pension service, ensuring that all staff are paid in accordance with their contractual conditions of service and in line with statutory regulations. An integral part of this role is the responsibility for the day to day pension administration for the Universities workplace pension schemes.

Previous payroll and pension administration experience is essential, as is a detailed understanding of payroll systems and processes. Excellent communication skills are also essential, alongside the ability to prioritise and multi task. In addition, the post holder must be numerate with good IT skills, particularly in Excel.

Recent experience of Northgate’s Resource link HR & Payroll system would be advantageous.
