Birmingham City University has invested £41 Million in a purpose built development at the City South Campus in Edgbaston, which is home to a wide range of allied health, life science and sports courses including dietetics. We are seeking an experienced HCPC registered dietitian with a track record of innovation and leadership, who will make a significant contribution to the delivery and ongoing development of the new dietetic education within the School and contribute to the School, Faculty and University’s strategic priorities. The School has recently developed a postgraduate entry MSc Dietetics pre-registration programme, which commenced in February 2018. Your role will be pivotal in contributing to the delivery of this new programme by working closely with the programme team, to plan and deliver teaching sessions, develop and mark assessments, act as personal, placement and project tutor to students, and contribute to the development and maintenance of the course materials and curriculum. In addition you will contribute to interprofessional learning within the faculty and you will also be involved in the support of practice educators and students at practice placement sites, which will include site visits. We are seeking someone who is passionate about excellent patient care, teaching and research within the dietetic field, and who can inspire their students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is experience of curriculum delivery either while undertaking practice placements, or in a university setting.
