The Education field is an exciting new development within the School of Human and Social Sciences.

We are currently seeking to appoint an exceptional Lecturer in Education Studies/Early Years Education to join our committed academic team in providing a high quality student experience on all our courses. We are keen to speak with candidates who have the drive and commitment to enhance the academic profile of the school in terms of teaching and research excellence.

The successful candidate is expected to contribute to teaching at all levels and to provide support to students in both theoretical and practical areas of Education. The candidate will contribute to the research output of the school, both in individual and team research projects. The candidate will also contribute to initiatives aimed at bringing third stream income into the school.

This is an exciting opportunity for suitably qualified candidates with a PhD in Education, Early Years Education or related field.  Relevant, proven teaching is an essential aspect of this post and module leader experience would be an advantage.  Candidates must have knowledge of current developments in Education and an up to date research portfolio. Experience of generating third stream income and developing external funding would also be an advantage.
