Applications are invited for this post which will offer a mix of homeworking and the opportunity for hot desking based at the Head Office, Sport Wales, Cardiff. The Ann Craft Trust is a registered national charity committed to safeguarding disabled children and adults at risk from abuse.

This exciting new post offers an opportunity to influence future planning and delivery of safeguarding advice and support to sport and recreation organisations in Wales. The successful candidate will have responsibility for reviewing and developing services in relation to adults at risk in sport and for identifying, planning and implementing new initiatives in line with current practice.They will ensure that the sports sector are addressing the safeguarding of adults in sport, develop and deliver a training strategy and offer advice, information and support across sport and recreation.

Candidates should have a social work or other relevant qualification and/or at least four years vocational experience.They should have good communication and organisational skills as well as experience of influencing strategic partners and stakeholders. A proven track record of working with adults at risk and up to date knowledge of safeguarding adults issues is required. Knowledge of the sports sector in Wales would be desirable.

The role will be offered on a part-time (18 hours per week), fixed term contract until 31st October 2019.
