Digital approaches to design and manufacture are changing the practice of architecture. This post is about working with digital technologies to innovate architectural design and the making of the built environment. 

We are seeking somebody with a passion for their subject and a proven ability to generate new knowledge in their field. You must be able to clearly articulate the nature of your expertise and how you will use it to equip our students with the knowledge and skills to succeed as the designers of the future.

So, to achieve the Faculty of Engineering’s vision of being top ranked in all areas for Research and Knowledge Exchange, as well as Education and Student Experience, we are seeking applications from high quality people whose backgrounds, experience and identity broadens and enhances the diversity of our existing team.

We are looking for someone who can:

reflect on their personal experience and background to provide evidence of their ability to innovate in the generation of new knowledge related to the field of digital technologies and their application within architecture.provide evidence of their ability to produce high quality research output related to the field of digital technology and its application to design or manufacture.from their personal experience and background, provide evidence of their ability to devise and sustain studio projects that allow students to harness digital technologies to demonstrate design innovation and excellence.provide evidence, from their personal experience and background, of their ability to devise thought provoking lectures and seminars related to the field of digital design and deliver these to a high standard.through their personal experience and background, evidence their ability to relate to and mentor students/colleagues who are increasingly ethnically and gender diverse.provide evidence, from their personal experience and background, of their ability to collaborate with colleagues and/or students to deliver outcomes that would not be possible if they were working alone.

This permanent post is full-time (36.25 hours per week), however job share arrangements may be considered.
