Description :

Join our dynamic, forward thinking and creative group of social work lecturers, where we have a strong reputation for practice informed teaching and excellent student support and where our research expertise is developing rapidly.

We have 2 posts available:

- 0.5 full time equivalent (permanent)

- 0.6 full time equivalent (12 month fixed term contract)

These posts have arisen due to some changes in hours worked by current staff as well as through additional investment. The successful post-holders will play a significant role in working with existing colleagues to review and enhance our qualifying and post qualifying provision and will be expected to teach across a range of modules and courses as well as contribute to key areas of activity such as practice learning development and recruitment work. The successful candidates will demonstrate clear potential to develop specific area/s of research expertise as well as engaging in pedagogic development. These roles could be an ideal way for the right candidate/s to experience an academic role for their first time and our experienced staff team are able to provide support and encouragement to those making this transition. If you are an experienced social work practitioner in any setting (we will seek to appoint a balance of areas of expertise), preferably with experience of working with students on placement, ideally some teaching experience, and have strong academic interests and potential, then we hope you will consider applying for one or more of these roles.

Candidates wishing to apply for more than one role should indicate this on their application form.

Job sharers welcome. The anticipated start date would be as soon as mutually agreeable.
