Description :

We have an opportunity to join a new high-impact research office being established in the Faculty of Health Sciences as a Research Facilitator.

The Faculty was formed in 2017 and consists of three schools: Life Sciences, Health and Social Work and the Hull-based elements of the Hull York Medical School (a partnership with the University of York).  We are a new and ambitious organisation and our research interests span biomedical, applied health, clinical specialities and health technology. The Faculty has recently established an Institute for Clinical and Applied Health Research, accompanied by a major investment in academic & clinical academic staff, the establishment of strong methods and research support infrastructure and occupation of the brand new Allam Medical Building.

This is an additional Research Facilitator appointment to support our principal investigators with pre-award and other processes, helping them work up and submit research proposals. You will also have a central role in producing performance information, supporting the implementation of research strategies and plans and have a varied portfolio of other duties, including REF support.

You can make a significant contribution to our research success, working alongside the University Research & Enterprise Directorate and NHS partners. You will need experience of supporting health-related research activity and pre-award process for research grants and contracts.

This is a superb opportunity to develop your career in a new and vibrant Faculty.

For an informal discussion, please contact John Busby, Chief Operating Officer, Hull York Medical School (john.busby@hyms.ac.uk).
