We are looking for a Customer Services Library Assistant to join the team at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. The successful applicant will be part of the user facing team answering queries using a variety of communication and service delivery methods. You will also have specific tasks to complete away from the service desk.

You will need to demonstrate that you are brilliant and friendly with a proven ability to a deliver a high standard of customer care and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. You will be confident with the ability to be innovative in delivering student focussed services in a constantly changing HE environment.

The Library is shared service environment with Staffordshire and Keele University students and NHS staff accessing the same resources and learning space with the common purpose of study and learning. Working collaboratively as a team to deliver an inclusive service is an important aspect of the role.

You will be able to demonstrate current IT and digital skills and be able to use a wide range of electronic systems and software including the library management, enquiry management systems and use social media in a professional environment.

The hours of work are 18.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday working from 1.15pm to 5pm on four days and 1.30pm to 5pm one day.

The post is based within the library on the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital site. Occasional travel to Stoke-on-Trent for University and team events will be required.
