Join our busy Payroll Team where you will play an integral role in providing a professional and comprehensive service to employees of the university.  Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

Supporting the Head of Payroll to ensure the provision of an effective, accurate and timely payroll process, with all payment deadlines adhered to.Leading the development/enhancement of payroll and pension systems and reporting, and to identify and implement process enhancements to the monthly payroll cycle.Managing the performance and development of Payroll Team members that report into this role.Providing advice and guidance on payroll and pension matters where required.Auditing changes to staff records and payroll administrators' calculations for SSP/SMP to ensure compliance.Supporting the Head of Payroll in dealing with internal and external auditors and any other regulatory/audit bodies that are authorised to review the University's payroll/pension records.

You will be qualified to degree level or equivalent and/or a holder of a relevant professional qualification and/or clearly evidenced equivalent experience. Experience of completing both PAYE and pension reporting to regulatory bodies is required.

This is a permanent, full time, but would be considered on a part-time or job share basis.  Please note, the role is being offered to internal members of staff only (which includes agency or casual workers, hourly paid lecturers and BSMS staff).
