Description :

Applications are invited for a Research Associate/Fellow to work with Dr Ross Denton on the development new catalytic Mitsunobu inversion reactions. Emphasis will be placed on delivery of methods that are robust, practical and applicable to pharmaceutical target synthesis.

The successful candidate will hold, or will have submitted a thesis for, a PhD in organic chemistry prior to taking the appointment. Experience in modern organic synthesis is highly desirable, and experience in organophosphorus chemistry would be highly beneficial, but is not essential. 

The post is available from the 3rd September 2018, and will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 3 years.
