High Performance Computing (HPC) System Administrator (037818-R-R)

Are you a skilled and ambitious Linux system administrator looking to gain exposure to High Performance Computing, Big Data, Cloud and Infrastructure as Code? The role provides an opportunity to work within a dynamic scientific computing environment, and offers attractive benefits, training and good opportunities for career progression. You will be part of a close-knit and experienced team which are responsible for the development and system administration of research IT infrastructure, with a particular focus on HPC, high capacity storage, Cloud (both on-premise and Public) and any future systems. 

You will have an excellent working knowledge of Ubuntu and Redhat Linux systems, likely to RHCSA/RHCE level or equivalent. Ideally, you have experience in HPC, scheduling systems, storage and software building. You will have to have excellent organisational and communication skills, be a strong team player and be able to work under your own initiative in a busy environment. Most importantly, you will enjoy solving problems, learning new skills and sharing your knowledge with people.
