Surrey Storm is very excited to be recruiting for an U21 Head Coach for the 2018/19 season.

This coach will be responsible for selecting and developing athletes within the team over the period of the 2018/19 season and throughout the NPL competition. This person will also be responsible for Assisting the Superleague Team throughout the 2018/19 VNSL season. The coach must be a proactive, self-motivated and highly organised individual and be willing to work closely with the Director of Netball and other coaches throughout the performance pathway.


Please find below a brief overview of the Roles and Responsibilities you will undertake as part of the role:


• Lead Coach U21 and Assist the Surrey Storm Netball Super league Team, with coaching sessions and regular match competition throughout the season.
• Support the Director of Netball in the recruitment of talented netball players.
• Work alongside the Director of Netball and the performance support staff to create individual performance development plans, supported by regular meetings.
• Lead on U21 and Assist on Super league match days with things such as player management, Player selection and debriefs and on court coaching.


The successful candidate must hold a minimum of a UKCC Level 2 or equivalent, current safeguarding and First Aid Qualifications, and have knowledge/experience with the NPL/Superleague Pathway.
Candidates will have coached at club level extensively with previous experience at coaching in an Elite setting with NPL or Superleague teams, have a thorough tactical and technical delivery ability, and feel comfortable acting as a representative of Surrey Storm throughout the season in a training and match environment.
Reporting to the Performance Pathway Manager and the Director of netball, successful candidates will have access to regular professional development and the means to develop their career on and off the court.
Training will be weekly from September to May, with up regular competitions throughout the season.
